The golden globes are not my favorite award show by any means, it just is not as big as the Oscars or as funny as the Razzies, but this year's show was quite eventful with one particular moment that made everyone happy and warm on the inside.

A comment made by actress Natalie Portman caught the attention of many people and for a couple of different reasons; It went as so: As Mrs.Portman was presenting the award for best director she threw a bit of shade towards the nominees and the committee who picked them, as she said" Here are the all-male nominees", some took this as a playful remark others, however, took it the other way and said that Portman is trying to portray that there is sexism and discremination in picking the nominees for best director, ofcourse we all know that Hollywood has problems but the fact of the matter is that there just weren't that many great female directors this past year save for Patty Jenkins who directed Wonder Woman.

Honestly, this is possibly my favorite moment of the show.As James Franco was accepting his golden globe for The Disaster Artist he called upon Tommy Wiseau, the man who directed, produced, wrote and acted in arguably the worst movie ever made "The Room", and after being ridiculed for this work for nearly 14.5 years his work is finally being appreciated for being hilarious and spawning Franco's movie, and you can see just how happy Tommy is, yes Franco did not let him speak but that is for good reason as he is not allowed much time for talking, so I guess that is as good a reason as any.

When all is said and done we all must agree that the biggest moment of the show was defiantly Oprah's speech, as her speech summed up everything that the Time's up movement is fighting for, she talked about how that their movement will fight against the discrimination of women in not only the entertainment business but in all workplace enviroments, and what I found to be quie wonderful is that she even said that men are helping their cause, with saying that she aknowledges that not all men are mysoginsts and hate to see women in power which is something I find quite amazing.
